Day two of our visit with the kids! We spent the day rockhounding, beachcombing, and looking at tide pools at Quail Street Beach and Bob Creek. We were even able to catch the sea cave at low tide and thoroughly explore it. After a quick rest at the house, we went to Seal Rock State Park and crawled up a large rock to watch the sunset. Closing out the night we celebrated Ren’s birthday with strawberry shortcake, ice cream, and presents. 😄

Tomorrow we are heading up the coast to see Depoe Bay (the smallest harbor in the world), Devil’s Punchbowl (an amazing natural feature that looks like a huge bowl), Otter Creek & Rock Creek, Lincoln City Outlets, Tillamook Creamery, Oceanside, Tunnel Beach, Pronto Pup at Rockaway Beach (the original inventors of the corn dog), & finally a crab dinner and sunset at Cannon Beach (the famous haystack rock featured in many movies, including the Twilight series), and Indian Beach (featured in Twilight as well). We’re going to take a lot of photos, but won’t be able to upload them until Wednesday or Thursday, so check back later in the week for those!

Wednesday is our whale-watching tour!!!
