Crystal and I drove up to Depoe Bay today to watch the King Tides spout over downtown. There were hundreds of people in town for the show and Mother Nature didn’t disappoint. There spouts so large they were spraying the buildings downtown. We got a small break from the rain, so we were both able to get a few shots here. From there we went to Quail Street Beach in Seal Rock. The sand has been washed out by the tides, which exposed large gravel beds – AGATES! We spent about two hours rockhounding and found 15-20 agates, red jasper, and a few nice, pendant-sized hag stones.
